Entropy is built to stay on your computer. The desktop app does not require an account and is designed to work offline. Your notes are Markdown files in folders you choose. Media and other files stay at their original paths; Entropy does not upload them to a proprietary cloud service.

The desktop app. We do not operate a required backend that receives the contents of your notes or file library for the core product. Features such as search, duplicates, and previews run locally on your machine. Optional network use (for example opening a link you choose) is under your control.

This website. The marketing and download pages may use privacy-preserving analytics from our host (Vercel Analytics) to understand aggregate traffic. That is separate from the desktop app and does not include your local files.

Downloads. Installers are served from GitHub Releases on the public Charlsz/entropy repository. GitHub's own privacy policy applies to those downloads.

Contact. If you email or message for support, we use that conversation only to help you. Reach us at cgalvis21_@hotmail.com or @charlswfeelings.

This alpha notice may change as the product grows. Significant changes to how the app handles data will be described here or in release notes.
